Wellness Makers: Inner Growth is the Key to a Better Life

Edward Vilga wishes you were rich. But not to the point of losing sight of who and what you truly want from life.

Vilga is the author of over 18 best-selling books, DVDs and online courses. His online courses have more than 50,000 students.

His DailyOM class is “A Year to Get Rich with Purpose”

Vilga, 58 years old, lives in New York. “It’s all about becoming wealthier by looking inside, by inner growth.” I don’t promise you’ll be a billionaire after this course. If you put in the effort, your life will be richer.

The Mind Shift from Scarcity to Abundance

Vilga is also a personal coach. She helps people find new ways to tell their money stories, uncover hidden limits, and build habits that will help them increase their ability to give and receive.

Vilga says, “One of my main teaching points is accountability, keeping on track, a sense if purpose, and that you’re moving with intention.” “Our thoughts can have an impact on the world in which we live.” It is well-documented that your thoughts and feelings have an impact on your body and the experiences that you create.

Vilga was born in Manchester, Connecticut. Vilga was the first member of his family to attend college and an Ivy League school. He recalls that he was a National Merit Scholar, and all the schools began writing to him. “I knew that I was not going to be a factory worker like the father. “I knew that I had to go forward.”

Yale was where he studied English, and he was exposed to an entire world of privilege. He was attracted to people who were less familiar with money. He openly admits that this is a big reason why he began teaching the material.

He says, “I have worked with people who don’t even know what it would cost them to live.” People are often embarrassed by the fact they don’t understand financial stuff. “I couldn’t find anyone who could speak to me on a practical basis who didn’t feel a bit shameful: “You’ve made poor choices, it’s all your fault.”

This is the exact opposite of his work. Instead of shaming, he encourages people to explore their feelings about lucre. They may also need to look at their financial statements but not in an overwhelming way. He said, “Accessible exercises are not required to be an accountant but may require that you look at your bank balance.”

Vilga works with entrepreneurs, people going through major life transitions, and people looking to expand their creative horizons.

Vilga knows what he is talking about: Vilga began learning piano after the pandemic and has been practicing for 13 minutes each day. What is the reason for that number? It’s because it’s a tasty chunk that gets him into the chair.

He said, “The alarm goes off and occasionally I’ll stay a bit longer.” “But I must complete at least 13 minutes. If you put in the effort every day for a year, you can accomplish a lot of amazing feats.
